StudioShot App combines professional photography expertise with AI to deliver stunning portraits in minutes.
StudioShot approached us with a bold vision: to make professional headshots accessible to everyone. The existing solutions were expensive, time-consuming, and required in-person sessions. They needed a digital platform that could deliver studio-quality results while being intuitive enough for anyone to use.
The company had already built strong AI technology for photo processing but needed expertise in creating a user-friendly platform. Their goal was to serve both individual professionals and large organizations, offering a seamless experience that would match traditional studio quality.

The main challenge lay in the complexity of StudioShot's AI technology. Users needed to submit specific types of selfies for optimal results, but extensive technical requirements would create friction. We needed to design an interface that would guide users naturally without overwhelming technical instructions.
Another crucial challenge was maintaining professional quality while simplifying the process. Users had diverse photography skill levels, varied lighting conditions, and different devices. Our design needed to ensure consistent results regardless of these variables, while keeping the experience smooth and intuitive.
Our approach started with extensive user research and journey mapping. We created 8 detailed user personas and conducted 24 stakeholder interviews. This groundwork helped us design an intuitive upload flow with real-time guidance, using subtle visual cues to help users capture perfect source photos.
We built a modular design system with 85+ components, enabling rapid iterations and consistent experience across platforms. Our team developed a unique style selection interface with interactive previews, and created micro-animations that made technical processes feel natural and engaging for users.
