The client

Trujay is a Saas solution that helps companies migrate data from one CRM system to another. Offering cost-effective solutions to keep business moving with little to no downtime, there are committed to high-security standards, reliable processes for data migration/import/integration service, and expert resources.

Overview

In this project, we collaborated with the Trujay team and help them to identify their tool’s weak sides and issues by conducting a UX audit.
The Challenge
Nothing makes customers churn quicker or more permanently than a bad experience. Often, when a team works too long on a product, they start losing sight of the details and their attention is distracted. That’s where the external UX experts step in: to review the work and find blind spots. A design audit is similar to a financial audit: even though you think everything’s well, you’ll sleep better after a double-check.
User experience is a process of user interaction with your website, app, or device. The simpler and more intuitive this process is, the more satisfied your customer will be. UX design is a field that improves this process and simplifies complexity. As a result, your business will spend less money on client acquisition and client retention, and your customers will be more loyal to your product.

We stood in the customer’s shoes and understood the key objectives to be reached with the UX audit. UX audits are typically conducted for existing products, which means that there’s already a team involved in the business development strategy and product vision. It’s critical to synchronize with the client’s team and to ask the right questions. In this way, we found really useful solutions that will have a positive impact on both business and users.
As a result of the first step, we got the final document which helps us understand how stakeholders see their project from the business standpoint, which business metrics need to be improved, who their product’s users are, what are the pain points in the current product.

Technical Analysis

Technical analysis aims to evaluate the technology limitations and hurdles that will impact the design.

The Goal
With the business objectives, we analyzed analytics data, heatmaps, scrollmaps, visitor recordings. The goal here is to see what story all of the data is trying to tell us about who the users are, what they’re looking for, and why they may not be converting as expected. All of this data is used to create user personas and journeys
We define user personas, understand their goals and pain points. In UX audit, this phase is useful when studying existing users and their behavior. It helps to visualize user needs, search for new opportunities, and find places where the interaction with the product can be further improved.
Results
Based on the UX audit we prepared a 62 page report with the critical, major, and minor issues and with solutions on how to fix that issues. The report included all our work processes in detail. Starting with user research and ending with the market, competitors research, and recommendations.
Having the report, the client is able to create a technical task for the designer and developers. Our recommendations and suggested solutions increased the Saas app MRR and conversion rate from visitor to customer.
